About us; who are we?

My Majorca Wedding is a renowned event agency with branches in Germany and Majorca. A creative and well-trained team is working under the direction of Julie Bussell and Frank Leavers. All contributors have a long working experience in the event business and wide knowledge about the island of Majorca.

Julie Bussell

Julie Bussell originally comes from Bournemouth Dorset. She owned and managed her own Event Planning Company for 20 years before moving to Majorca in 2000. Julie set up My Majorca Wedding and Mallorca Wedding Directory shortly afterwards and she has managed and delivered almost 400 weddings in that time to happy and satisfied clients.

Julie’s family have lived in Majorca for over thirty years and so Julie’s knowledge of the island is both extensive and detailed. In her spare time Julie enjoys playing tennis, walking in the mountains in winter and dancing.

In the past she has organized a European Summit Conference, countless exhibitions, corporate conferences and many social, musical and cultural events. However, Julie regards her wedding planning work as the most satisfying of her career…….she says “I get real satisfaction from making couples wedding dreams come true.”

 

Frank Leavers

Frank Leavers was Head of Public Affairs for a major UK based Corporation for 12 years. He specializes in public relations and protocol services and has worked with Julie Bussell since My Majorca Wedding and Mallorca Wedding Directory was established.

Hampshire born Frank, coordinates wedding transport, manages sub-contractors and interfaces with the bridal party on the “Big Day” ensuring the smooth running of the day itself. He also acts as Master of Ceremony if required and is charged with keeping the wedding day
stress-free.

Frank writes for the local English language newspaper The Majorca Daily Bulletin and other magazines, and is a frequent radio broadcaster. As Chairman of Mallorca Cricket Club, he likes to play cricket and join Julie walking in the Majorcan mountains in winter.

 

Joanne Clayton Walsh

Originally from the North West of England Joanne has lived and worked in Majorca for 25 years, beginning her career with a well-known Tour Operator. She now works behind the scenes with a local English Radio station organising advertising and events alongside her duties with My Majorca Wedding. With extensive knowledge of the island, eye for detail and experience in event planning, Joanne has delivered many beautiful weddings and is on hand to ensure the smooth running of the day itself.

Joanne enjoys spending time with her family, avid music fan and walking in the winter with the family dogs.

 

Nicholas Clayton

Nick has worked in the hostelry industry for more than 25 years in management being a Maitre D at one of Majorca´s most famous port restaurants for 11 years. Now the director of a successful Pool and Garden Maintenance company he has the experience and drive to deliver perfection on your wedding day. Drawing from his experience he works alongside all the suppliers to ensure the Wedding Breakfast runs smoothly and also acts as Master of Ceremony if required.

Nick plays golf in his spare time and enjoys playing Pool for the local league.
